GHL Advanced Event Data Mapping & Custom Field Blueprint

Technical blueprint for mapping complex Tixified attendee data—like dietary needs, shirt sizes, and custom questions—into clean, actionable GHL custom fields.

Mastering Data Architecture for Events

Data integrity is the difference between a personalized attendee experience and a logistical nightmare. This blueprint outlines how to structure your GHL Custom Fields to receive detailed data from Tixified's ticketing platform.

The Standard Event Object Schema

Before launching your tickets, create these custom fields in GHL under a 'Tixified Event Data' folder:

  • Ticket Type (Text): GA, VIP, Early Bird, etc.
  • Order ID (Text): For cross-referencing.
  • Attendee Status (Dropdown): Registered, Checked-In, No-Show.
  • Special Requirements (Large Text): Dietary, accessibility, etc.
  • Session Interests (Multi-select): For track-specific marketing.

Mapping Webhooks for Success

When Tixified fires a webhook, use GHL's 'Inbound Webhook' trigger. Use the 'Mapping' tool to link the JSON payload to the fields created above. Crucial: Use the attendee's email address as the unique identifier to avoid creating duplicate contact records.

Technical Logic Example:

Trigger: Webhook -> Action: Create/Update Contact -> Map: "Attendee_Size" to "T-Shirt Size (Custom Field)"

Once mapped, you can create hyper-segmented Smart Lists. Need a list of everyone who ordered a 'Large' shirt for the printer? One click. Need to find all VIPs with nut allergies for the caterer? One click.

This level of data mapping allows for automated 'Thank You' emails that mention their specific session choices, dramatically increasing the perceived value of your event.

Sync your event data effortlessly. Get started with Tixified.
